According to the rescue team, they were able to free the yacht after earlier recovery attempts by others had been unsuccessful, using their single-engine charter boat, carefully planned manoeuvres and towing lines.

Once the yacht had been pulled clear of the sandbank, the rescue team also restarted its previously disabled engines. Rather than being towed to Puerto Portals as originally reported, the yacht continued under its own power to Palma Harbour, escorted by the charter boat Neptün as a safety precaution.

Thankfully, no one was injured and the yacht did not suffer any major damage. The incident ended without serious consequences, and the vessel was able to continue safely after the recovery.
