IO Interactive has presented several new features for the franchise’ Hitman, led by the arrival of Wiz Khalifa to ‘Hitman World of Assassination‘ as a new Elusive Target. The update, which is titled ‘The Wizard‘, is available now and will allow Agent 47 to take on Taylor Graves, a former boxer turned Muay Thai fighter who has also built his reputation in the financial world.
Wiz Khalifa as The Wizard
‘The Wizard’ season brings fresh challenges, featured contracts, Twitch drops, IOI account rewards, and cross‑play bonuses. It also revives past Elusive Target missions like ‘The Drop’ with Dimitri Vegas and ‘Eminem vs. Slim Shady’, which return for a limited time in digital stores.
World Champions Pack
The World Champions Pack adds costumes, weapons, and gear inspired by sports from around the globe. It also restores several items that were previously unavailable, letting players collect them again.
Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered
Under the name ‘Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered‘, Saber Interactive is releasing refreshed versions of Hitman: Codename 47, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, and Hitman: Contracts for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam) in 2027. The remasters feature updated graphics, a photo mode, and other quality‑of‑life improvements.
Feral Interactive will also expand Hitman: Absolution on Nintendo consoles, adding Contracts mode as a free update, while the Switch 2 will receive a native improvement pack this summer.
Vinyl and Board Game
IO Interactive teamed up with Laced Records to offer pre‑orders for the ‘Hitman World of Assassination‘ vinyl collection. Composed by Niels Bye Nielsen, the record gathers tracks from 2016’s Hitman, Hitman 2, Hitman III, plus songs from the Free Agent and Sniper Challenge modes. The LP sports a “Sanguine Marble” design, though the album is also streamable and downloadable.
The franchise is also moving to the tabletop with MOOD Publishing’s ‘Hitman: The Board Game‘. The crowdfunding campaign smashed its goal, reaching over 860 % of the target. In this competitive game for one to four players, each participant controls an assassin who must infiltrate locations and eliminate targets.
World of Assassination Availability
The base game is playable on PS5, PS4, PS VR2, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo consoles. Switch and Switch 2 owners need the base game to access the new missions. Both ‘The Wizard‘ and the ‘World Champions‘ packs launch on June 12 and will be free to play in the full game as well as the Free Demo version on all supported platforms.
