Why a Cantata Instead of a Party?

The students of Mare de Déu del Carmen wanted to mark the end of their nine‑year journey in a way that felt personal and memorable. Rather than a typical end‑of‑year party, they decided to write and perform a cantata—a musical story made up of eight original songs.

Writing the Lyrics

Help from a Poet

Renowned glossator Joan Moll worked with the students, showing them how words, rhyme, and rhythm can turn a feeling into a song. He reminded them that “a song moves when what it explains makes sense.”
